YOUR MARYLAND PICKUP
Approved Auto Transport is based on Maryland's Eastern Shore and coordinates vehicle shipments throughout the state—from Baltimore and Annapolis to the Washington-area suburbs, Frederick in Western Maryland and Eastern Shore towns. These are communities we serve, not physical Approved offices.
Pickup happens at an accessible location suitable for the assigned carrier. If a full-size truck can't enter a narrow street or restricted community, you and the carrier can agree on a nearby spot with room to load. See our Maryland shipping guide.
YOUR FLORIDA DELIVERY
Florida delivery covers more than a single drive down I-95. From Northeast Florida to the Gulf Coast and Panhandle, your destination determines the route the carrier needs to serve—for residential moves, vehicle purchases and seasonal stays.
Condo garages, gated entrances, barrier-island roads and community truck rules can require a nearby meeting point. Check access with your property manager before arrival. Our Florida shipping guide covers more destinations.
SEASONAL SHIPPING
Seasonal travelers shape demand on this corridor, while permanent relocations and vehicle purchases continue all year. The right timing depends on your plans—there is no universally cheapest month.
North → South
Stronger north-to-south seasonal demand as travelers move vehicles toward Florida.
South → North
Stronger south-to-north return demand as seasonal travelers head home.
Every direction
Permanent relocation, vehicle purchases, employment moves and other transportation needs.
Maryland → Florida and Florida → Maryland are separate pricing markets. If you're planning a seasonal stay, request your return estimate separately when your dates are known.

RELOCATION PLANNING
Household moving trucks and vehicle carriers run on separate schedules. A few details up front keep your car's transport aligned with the rest of your move.
Share your key dates. Move-out date, Florida arrival, and any closing or lease restrictions.
Plan for arrival. Decide whether you need the car right away and how you'll get around if it travels on a different timetable.
Name a contact at each end. If you fly, designate someone to hand over or receive the car for the inspection and paperwork.
Shipping a second car? Many families drive one vehicle and ship the other—tell us about both.
Buying from a dealer or private seller? Coordinate the vehicle's release, seller availability and receiving contact before pickup.
PRACTICAL ROUTE GUIDE
Jacksonville is the northernmost destination on this route and is reached before the longer southbound run through the peninsula. Suburban addresses still need an access check; a shorter route does not guarantee immediate pickup.
Orlando serves inland Central Florida, while Tampa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater and Sarasota lie toward the Gulf Coast. The carrier's remaining stops and direction of travel affect how these deliveries fit together. Planned communities and coastal approaches may require an accessible meeting location.
Miami involves the longer run down the peninsula. Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach have their own delivery arrangements, even when they share part of that corridor. Busy streets, condo access and gated properties are reasons to discuss unloading before arrival.
Pensacola is west of the peninsula and may be served through inland Southeast corridors. It is not simply another stop on a Miami-bound trip, so share your desired dates and we'll discuss carrier availability for this distinct destination.
CHOOSE THE ARRANGEMENT THAT FITS
For permanent moves, retirement relocations, family moves or additional household vehicles, car shipping can be planned separately from the moving truck.
Open transport is a common option for everyday vehicles. Compare open car transportation with your timing and vehicle needs.
For a vehicle spending part of the year in Florida, plan the southbound shipment around your stay and current seasonal demand.
Arrange return transportation separately when your plans are known; the northbound market may differ from the outbound trip.
Classic, collector, luxury and other specialty vehicles may benefit from the additional shelter of enclosed transportation. Tell us about low clearance, modifications or handling considerations.
Enclosed trailers add protection from weather and road debris. Neither option guarantees zero damage.

The table on this page shows estimated carrier-market rates for a standard running sedan on representative Baltimore-origin corridors. Those ranges are not customer quotes. Your personalized price depends on your exact pickup and delivery locations, vehicle, transport type and timing, and the final total is confirmed for your approval before dispatch.
Once a carrier picks up your vehicle, transportation typically takes about two to five days depending on the destination—Jacksonville is usually on the shorter end and South Florida or the Panhandle on the longer end. These are estimates of time in transit, not guaranteed pickup or delivery dates.
Yes. Approved Auto Transport is based on Maryland's Eastern Shore, and we coordinate pickups in Salisbury, Easton and surrounding communities as well as across the rest of the state. Because the table uses Baltimore as its benchmark, request a personalized quote for an Eastern Shore pickup.
Yes. Each destination is its own corridor with its own distance, carrier traffic and pricing. Miami is the longest run down I-95, Jacksonville is the shortest, Orlando and Tampa branch off into Central Florida and the Gulf Coast, and Pensacola is reached on a separate inland route. We never apply one city's rate to another.
Open transport is the common choice for everyday vehicles and generally costs less. Enclosed transport adds protection from weather and road debris and is often chosen for classic, specialty or high-value vehicles. Both are shown separately in the table.
Requesting an estimate a few weeks before your move gives you time to compare options and line up pickup with your movers and travel plans. Shorter notice is often possible, but more flexibility usually gives carriers more ways to fit your route.
Yes. Many Maryland residents send a vehicle south for fall and winter. Southbound demand rises in the fall, so planning early and keeping your pickup window flexible helps. The return trip from Florida to Maryland is a different lane with its own pricing.
Yes. Many families drive one vehicle to Florida and ship the other. Tell us about both vehicles and we can discuss whether they can travel together or on separate schedules.
Distance, exact pickup and delivery locations, vehicle size and condition, open or enclosed transport, season and how flexible your dates are all affect carrier pricing and availability.
After you request a quote, a transport professional reviews your route with you. Your final transportation price is confirmed for your approval before dispatch.
